(monotonous)

It is human nature to resent change. We put up walls of so-called ‘security’ around ourselves, refusing to accept change in any form-that’s when things go wrong.
I feel like I’ve been in a bubble for so long, that now that I see things changing, I feel like they are changing around me faster than they should. I want time to stop-but time’s going to keep changing, no matter how I feel about it. Right now, acceptance is the only way to go.

We get so used to the way things are, we forget to think about how things would be if they were to change, and when they eventually do, it hits us like a ton of bricks. If we lull ourselves into a false sense of security, we may never be able to handle change.
Just watching a pipe dripping in monotone can be so soothing, but how long can you keep watching the same pipe drip? The same sounds, the same sights, the same story-how long can you go through with that? Nothing lasts forever, and even in the case of the pipe, the water will run out sometime. All you can do, is stop for a moment and take a deep breath, and realise that you are not alone. Everyone’s afraid of change. All you have to do face it head on. At the end of it, you’ll realise just how strong you are, and that’s always a pleasant surprise.

(questions)

Life is full of unanswered questions. We ask why this is so, but really; would it be better if all of life’s questions were answered? Probably not; and furthermore, every time one question is answered, another one arises. There’s so much we don’t know as humans. We don’t realise what the universe holds. We don’t realise the power each and every one of us has. We don’t realise how this power can change things we deemed as impossible.

Take the first flight to the moon. Before spaceships were invented, going to the moon was as wild a dream as bending the space-time continuum; but what happened to make that dream come true was that someone somewhere dared to ask a question, and they set out to find an answer. It is in our human nature to face challenges, and if life didn’t have challenges, we wouldn’t be alive. Ironic as that sounds, it’s true. We wouldn’t have found food, water, shelter or any of those necessities.

I’m sure there will come a time in every human’s life, where one questions their existence. Why are we here? Do we even have a purpose? Who knows all the answers? The truth is, no one does, except whoever put us here. That’s where our beliefs come in. That’s where religion comes in. Everyone tries to put forth a different answer to these questions, and maybe that’s how religions started. I’m afraid there’s no one person who has all the answers-no one alive at the moment that is. Think of it this way, if someone knew all the answers, life would become monotonous and simply boring. There’d be no reason to be alive, no reason to discover anything. The human race would just die out…

As someone once said, “There are no stupid questions.”
Keep asking questions. Keep wondering. You never know, maybe it’ll be you who makes the next big discovery.
